New Dometic Replacement Cooling Units

by admin

Dometic specializes in a variety of RV and van camper ac including refrigerators, freezers, heaters and air conditioners. They also offer a full line of replacement parts for these systems.

When replacing a cooling unit, be sure to take out the old one and transfer all the parts over. This includes the freezer/fin screws and LP gas plug.

Remanufactured Cooling Units

Founded in 1922 by two young Swedish students, Dometic is the manufacturer of a number of famous RV refrigerators including the RM3862 and RM2652 (new style). They also offer a wide variety of spare parts and accessories for their products to keep them running.

One of their remanufactured cooling units is the RM3662 (Dometic Model #606A) that has been re-built using heavier wall seamless tubing with a boiler design that won’t fracture or leak. This remanufactured unit is also covered by a one year standard warranty and up to 100 dollars towards replacement labor. It’s also the most impressive RV refrigerator replacement item you can buy, and it even features a thermo-mastic seal that is sure to last! We recommend running a few drops of sealing tape around the outer periphery of this new evaporator unit to insure it will fit properly. Besides, it’s the RV refrigerator replacement unit that will really cool your food and keep it fresher for longer!

New Cooling Units

The new Dometic Replacement Cooling Units are built to last much longer than the OEM cooling units. Unlike many OEM and Aftermarket models, our RV refrigerator replacements have heavier wall seamless tubing that won’t fracture or leak. Our unique rebuilding process uses a boiler design that won’t fail and prevents the yellow residue from discoloring the burner area and the ammonia smell from coming out of the system, so you can enjoy your RV fridge for years to come.

In addition to these quality replacements, New Dometic also offers a wide variety of accessories and spare parts that are designed to keep your refrigerator up and running at all times. These include electric cables, fridge slides, quick release and universal installation kits, hinge and latch assemblies, fridge stands, lid lanyards, light assemblies and insulated covers. Parts & Accessories

For many RVers, keeping cool in the sweltering heat is at the top of their to-do list. To keep your rig at the top of its game, you need the best air conditioning system on the market. A little bit of know-how goes a long way when it comes to making your ride as comfortable as possible, and the right parts and accessories will help you keep on track. At Boat & RV Accessories, we have you covered with high-quality replacement parts and accessories from the biggest names in the business including Aire, Dometic, Norcold and more. If you’re looking for the best air conditioner or heat pump in your price range, our knowledgeable sales staff can help you select the right product for your needs and budget.

When replacing a cooling unit, you need to take into account all the mounting screws. They can be different on each make and model so it’s important to carefully align the screw holes.

Once you’ve figured this out, you can start the installation process. First, make sure to apply transfer mastic. This helps to prevent rust.

Then, remove the sheet metal, insulation, heating element, and flue tube baffle from the old cooling unit and install them on the new one. Be sure to use the correct size screws and Blue Loctite Threadlocker when reinstalling them.

If your refrigerator is not cooling or you’re smelling ammonia, the cooling unit has likely failed and will need to be replaced. This can be done quickly and inexpensively using a remanufactured RV fridge cooling unit. It will not only be less expensive than buying a new unit, but it will also last longer.
